S-61 Upgrade Programs

Carson holds 35+ STCs for the S-61 platform. Each upgrade is FAA-certified and can be installed individually or as part of a full modernization package.

Martin Baker Troop Seats

Quick cabin reconfiguration for utility or passenger transport — seats install or remove in minutes.

Rear Cargo Door

Enables quick entry/exit and simplified pallet loading for cargo operations.

11,000 lb Cargo Sling

External cargo hook rated to 11,000 lbs — significantly lighter than the OEM hook.

Fire Fighting Tank

1,000 gallon tank, 30 gallon foam capacity. Hover-fill in 28 seconds, GPS recorded delivery. Removable in under 30 minutes. Only 1,000 lbs.

S-61 Shortening

Carson Short S-61 reduces empty weight by 500 lbs compared to a standard S-61N.

1,700 lb thrust increase, 15 kt speed gain, 40% climb improvement. Over 1,000 blades built — used on Marine One. Bolt-on, no additional mods.

Goodrich AC rescue hoist with high fleet angle for high-wind operations. Unlimited duty cycle.
